Avian W. Stork is the pen name of Estonian-born writer Airi, who has lived in Finland for more than sixteen years. A mother of four, she draws deeply on her life experiences—joys, struggles, and transformations, to create stories that are both intimate and universal.

Her writing career began when, in a meditative moment, she received a story about her son that moved listeners to tears. Since then, she has published a children's book, Arturi päev turul, in three languages, as well as a travel guide and a fictionalized account of her divorce.

Though fascinated by old English art, Renaissance culture, and classic literature, Avian's voice is uniquely her own—shaped by Northern landscapes, resilience, and an untamed creative spirit. She sees ADHD not as a limitation, but as a wellspring of imagination that fuels her work.
